Delicata Squash
Solidarity Farm · Valley CenterDelicata squash has sweet, creamy flesh and a thin skin you can eat—no peeling needed! Slice it into half-moons, scoop out the seeds, and roast with olive oil and salt until the edges caramelize. It’s lovely in grain bowls, tossed into salads, or eaten straight from the pan.
TipKeep whole squash in a cool, dry spot with good airflow, rather than in the fridge. Once cut, refrigerate it in a sealed container and use within a few days.

Coastal Roots Farm
You may have noticed a few extra goodies in this week’s box! Our friends at Coastal Roots Farm donated pineapple guavas, Fresno chiles, and jalapeños for us to share with you. Coastal Roots does wonderful work bringing people together around food and farming. This Thursday, they’re hosting their final summer film event at their farm in Encinitas. It’s a lovely chance to visit the farm and meet the community behind it!
