Sea + Soil

Encinitas

Sea + Soil Collective is a surf and garden community cultivating wellness, ecological stewardship, and deeper connection to land, sea, and one another.

Sea + Soil Collective is a San Diego–based surf and garden collective rooted in the belief that healing people and healing ecosystems are deeply interconnected. Through regenerative gardening, surf gatherings, education programs, and community events, Sea + Soil creates spaces where people can reconnect with the natural world, each other, and themselves. Their work centers around stewardship of both land and sea — blending ecological education, food growing, nervous system healing, and community care into a uniquely holistic approach to environmental action. Whether through volunteer garden programs, Earth tending workshops, or surf gatherings grounded in reciprocity and cultural awareness, Sea + Soil approaches regeneration as something that extends beyond ecology alone and into relationships, belonging, and collective well-being. Sea + Soil also holds a uniquely foundational place in the story of Cardiff Tiny Farm itself. Back in 2019, the collective originally helped establish the main farming area on the property, laying much of the physical and philosophical groundwork for what would later become the tiny farm. Their leadership, vision, and commitment to stewarding this piece of land created the conditions for everything that has followed. In many ways, every day we show up to farm here is an effort to honor the work Sea + Soil and their community first began. Today, it feels deeply meaningful to continue reconnecting around a shared vision: helping restore relationships between people, food, land, and the planet itself.
