Hukama Produce is a family-run San Diego farm dedicated to growing fresh, wholesome produce while strengthening the relationship between food, land, and community. Founded in 2015, the farm was created with a simple goal: to bring healthy, flavorful produce to local families and build lasting relationships with the people they feed. Hukama Produce grows its food without chemical pesticides, following the belief that farmers should be comfortable eating everything they offer to their customers. Its produce is harvested with care and distributed through farmers’ markets, cooperatives, and other community-based food networks throughout San Diego. Rooted in food sovereignty and health equity, Hukama Produce sees farming as more than producing a quality crop. It is a way to nurture the land, improve access to nourishing food, and create a healthier and more connected local food system—one harvest and one relationship at a time.
