Nestled in the hills of De Luz in Fallbrook, California, Bantle Avocado Farm is a family-operated farm dedicated to growing exceptional Hass avocados while caring for the land that produces them.
Farmers Jen and Kurt have spent years restoring and improving their 12-acre grove. Beginning in 2011, they undertook an extensive renovation, pruning back aging trees, replanting areas of the property, and modernizing their growing operations. Today, the farm is home to more than 1,000 avocado trees.
Their approach combines traditional agricultural stewardship with modern technology. Rather than relying on insecticides or herbicides, they encourage a balanced ecosystem to manage pests naturally and maintain their own honeybees to support pollination. Kurt even designed and built a wireless irrigation system that uses soil moisture sensors to conserve water and keep the trees healthy.
Beyond the grove, Jen is an active advocate for small farms, serving in agricultural leadership roles and representing the interests of local growers.
Bantle Avocado Farm demonstrates how thoughtful farming practices, innovation, and a commitment to the land can come together to produce exceptional locally grown food.
